AECOM VP Chris Corr Named by Rick Scott to UF Board of Trustees


Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Chris Corr, a veteran real estate development executive, to the University of Florida board of trustees.

According to a release from the governor’s office, Corr, 48, of Lake Lure, N.C., has been the executive vice president of AECOM, overseeing planning, design and development, since 2008.

Previously, he was executive vice president of real estate for the St. Joe Co. from 1998 to 2008 and a senior manager with the Walt Disney Co. from 1992 to 1998. His extensive community involvement includes serving on the Florida Board of Governors for the State University System from 2011 to 2012 and on the Florida Council of 100 Board of Directors since 2009.

Corr will serve for a term beginning May 7 until Jan. 6, 2016.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
