Allen West Team Calls Out Bill Maher for 'Racially Charged Smears'

The team behind Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Allen West’s bid for a second term are looking to fire conservatives up by taking aim at television host Bill Maher.

Tim Edson, West’s campaign manager, sent out a fundraising email to supporters this week attacking Maher for comments he made about his candidate.

“Bill Maher and liberals like him are gravely threatened by a black conservative willing to stand up to their reckless agenda," Edson wrote. “This week, Obama’s million-dollar super-PAC donor and ‘comedian’ Bill Maher leveled racial smears against Allen West and the ‘Party of the Apes.' Maher went on to say that when fellow Republican representatives greet Allen in Washington, they probably say, ‘Word, Allen. Word.’ Because that’s how they think black people talk.”

Edson slammed these comments as “racially charged smears” and insisted that Maher has a pattern of making similar statements.

“Of course, this isn’t the first time Bill Maher has made racist and sexist remarks. He has a history of offensive, misogynistic attacks on women as well," Edson wrote. “In one 11-day period in 2011, Maher repeatedly assaulted Sarah Palin, calling her a ‘bimbo’ and hurling two sexist epithets during his stand-up ‘comedy routine.' He has repeatedly leveled insults at Bristol Palin as well, saying just this past May that Bristol would ‘name her next kid Colt 45 after what she’s drinking when she gets pregnant.' And in April, Maher attacked Ann Romney saying she has ‘never gotten her ass out of the house to work.'

“President Obama and Allen’s left-wing opponent won’t speak out against these racist and sexist attacks,” Edson continued. “In fact, they’ll likely circle the wagons.”

I think we'll start listening to rabid Mr. West's concern once he proves in court that there are 78 to 81 Democrats in Congress who are card carrying members of the Communist Party, and apologizes to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz for calling her "vile, despicable and cowardly" after she called into question his stance on Medicare during the debate over a spending cap and balanced budget bill before the House.

People who would accuse shouldn't be known liars.

I feel the more attention is given to this idiot, the more he will slander. WHY you ask> easy>> more people watching and listening. Ratings go up and more money for him.
Yes, he is an idiot and racist. There is not a person on earth except with perhaps the Dalai Lama, that does not have SOME racist bones in him/her.
Every time something is said ABOUT/AGAINST the idiot, people have to check it out. Hence, giving him more hits on sites, more attention, more ratings, more money. And I think we all know WHERE his money is going! Little does the idiot realize, that if things WERE the way Mr. O wants them, HIS money would be snatched from him to share with ME!!!!!
