"The Florida Association of Counties is proud of what we’ve accomplished with the Six Pillars and welcomes the open door to participate in the Six Pillars Caucus System,” said Martin County Commissioner Doug Smith, the president of the association. “As an early adopter of the Six Pillars framework, we've seen the power of consensus that can only begin with using the same language."

The pillars are: Talent Supply and Education; Innovation and Economic Development; Infrastructure and Growth Leadership; Business Climate and Competitiveness; Civic and Governance Systems; and Quality of Life and Quality Places.
