The Beacon Council: Spain-based Companies to Add 465 Jobs


The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official economic development partner, which has a representative among the Enterprise Florida business development mission with Gov. Rick Scott, has announced that three Spain-based companies intend to add 465 jobs to Miami-Dade within three years.

The companies are:

Obrascon Huarte Lain (OHL USA), a global construction company, planning 255 jobs and $22 million in capital investments.

Miami City Tour (formerly El Grupo Julià), a travel and tourism transportation company, 150 jobs, $4 million in capital investments.

TotalBank, an integrated retail-commercial bank already in South Florida and a member of Grupo Banco Popular Español, with plans to add 10 branches, adding 60 jobs and undertaking $4 million in capital investments.
