Board of Governors Names Seven Trustees for University System


The Florida Board of Governors made seven appointments to various university boards of trustees in the state system on Thursday

Thomas Workman Jr., president of Thomas Workman & Associates, Certified Public Accountants in Boca Raton, was reappointed to the Florida Atlantic University board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

John Dudley Goodlette, interim president of Edison State College in Fort Myers, was appointed to to the Florida Gulf Coast University board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

Leslie Victor Pantin, president of Pantin/Beber Silverstein Public Relations in Miami, was appointed to the Florida State University board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

George Arthur Skestos, of Longboat Key, retired founder of the Homewood Corp., Trinity Home Builders and Franklin Bank, was appointed to the New College of Florida board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

Fred D. Franklin, an attorney with Rogers Towers PA in Jacksonville, was reappointed to the University of North Florida board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

Stanley I. Levy, a retired partner emeritis at Grant Thorton LLP in Tampa, was appointed to the University of South Florida board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

Suzanne Lewis, of Pensacola, a retired superintendent at the National Park Service, was appointed to the University of West Florida board of trustees for a term beginning Jan. 17, 2013, and ending Jan. 6, 2018.

The appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
