CAIR to Florida Legislature: 'Sharia' Law Would Demonize Islam
Islamic leaders on Tuesday blasted proposed state legislation they said would “demonize Islam and marginalize Muslims.”
House Bill 1209, which would regulate the “application of foreign law in certain cases,” is scheduled to be heard by the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations said the bill, sponsored by Rep. Larry Metz, R-Eustis, is designed to ensure that Sharia and other foreign laws are not applied to family law cases in Florida.
Both CAIR and the Jewish Anti-Defamation League have said such legislation is unnecessary and would restrict religious freedom.
Hassan Shibly, CAIR's Florida director, asserted that "anti-Sharia" laws are "frivolous."
"They're pre-empted by the First Amendment and Establishment Clause. They're un-American because they inhibit free exercise of religion on a personal level."

As an American born and raised in the USA, I would urge CAIR to stop promoting Shariah law as the law of the USA. It never will be because many of us will fight you Muslims to the death. Again, if Cair does not like how we do things in the USA get out of here and destroy the North or south Pole. Demonizing is common practice of Muslims wanting to enslave all people of this world. I know this will offend, and there will be those who would want to use violence in justification of being offended.

Shariah law is fine for Muslims in their own countries, however, in the USA we obey our laws from the Constitution of the USA, and those laws given to this nation by Britain.
We do not accept Shariah as the law of the land, and Muslims need to assimulate to the laws of the USA. If NOT, Go back to your own nation.

Muslims do a very good job of demonizing Islam without any help from us infidels (as CAIR likes to term us), what with them flying planes into buildings, shooting innocents at Fort Hood and trying to blow up Congress. CAIR refuses to admit the obvious, that Islam is not defined by outsiders but by the excesses of Muslims themselves. Every group is self-defined by its best and the worst, and Islam in America is no different.

Anti-sharia laws most certainly do not demonize Islam. It is the demonic actions of Islam which are pre-justified by and demanded of Muslims under the cloak of Sharia law that demonizes Islam.
The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.
Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, most of the verses of violence in the Quran are open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text. They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the Quran.
Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy and the remarkable stress on violence found in the Quran have resulted in a trail of blood and tears across world history.
The Quran:
Quran (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah." The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did). The use of the word "persecution" by some Muslim translators is thus disingenuous (the actual Muslim words for persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of "z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse). The actual Arabic comes from "fitna" which can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation. Taken as a whole, the context makes clear that violence is being authorized until "religion is for Allah" - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief.

So this is exactly what islamphobes and islamphobia do all day, pick what they like from the Qur'an and they build a whole case about it. if you are not a native arabic speaker , if you haven't read the quran end to end , do NOT act as a subject matter expert , you are just one of these idiots who like to have followers. Exactly a puppet who repeats what he is been taught. DO not quote the Quran in english , english is not the language of Qur'an. You may read a man made translation in English but it is not Qur'an any more it is a translation of the book. What as i notice is that islamopbes do calculate statistics , how many times a word is mention in the quran, the quran came in verses , u need to understand these verses together , this is not a book to run your math on.

Someone needs to say to creeping sharia, "Thus far, and no farther." It's necessary to reassert the primacy of our laws over Islam, lest a future generation finds itself cowed into dhimmitude, as is happening in Muslim quarters of Europe.
