Connie Mack Unveils Team for Southwest Florida

U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, the favorite to win the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, announced his leadership teams for Lee and Collier counties on Monday morning.

“It's been my great honor to represent my hometown of Fort Myers in Congress for the past seven years,” Mack said in a statement. “Now, as I seek to do the same in the Senate, having a strong and active team representing our campaign in southwest Florida is both humbling and gratifying. With the help of these great leaders and activists we will continue to get our campaign message out in Lee and Collier counties. I am thrilled these talented individuals are dedicating their time to retaking the U.S. Senate and defeating liberal Bill Nelson, and I know I can count on southwest Florida to bring home a victory for our campaign in November."

Mack’s team in southwest Florida will be chaired by Mayor John Sorey of Naples, Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott and includes Rep. Trudi Williams, R-Fort Myers.

In the Republican primary on Aug. 14, Mack’s opponents include former U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon and businessman and retired Army officer Mike McCalister.

Still want to know why Mack will not do a debate. He will be working for the people of Florida and not for himself. No one should vote to a person that will not speak to the public on where he stands and get out and met us. NO GOOD
