Cretul Names Ritch Workman to Commission on Tourism

House Speaker Larry Cretul, R-Ocala, announced on Monday that he was naming Rep. Ritch Workman, R-Melbourne, to the Florida Commission on Tourism, the public/private partnership that works to boost the state’s tourist economy through Visit Florida.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Florida Commission on Tourism and thank Speaker Cretul for his vote of confidence,” said Workman, one of the leaders of fiscal conservatives in the House. “Florida’s tourism industry is still reeling from the effects of the national economy and it is critical that in these challenging economic times we get the message out that Florida is still a great place to visit. This is about getting Florida back to work and creating jobs, and I will be keenly focused on supporting this important mission.”

Workman’s term will end on July 31, 2012.
