Crist Disappears from Republican Party Website

The Republican Party of Florida isn't waiting for Gov. Charlie Crist to leave the party. The RPOF just kicked him off its home page.

Crist's smiling mug and a quote from the "People's Governor" topped the party's website -- until today. That high-profile banner treatment now rotates between Attorney General Bill McCollum, who is running to replace Crist in the governor's office, and Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp, who is running for attorney general.

Katie Gordon Betta, RPOF spokeswoman, said, "The governor is (still) listed as an elected official on the site."

Yep, the state's chief executive now appears right below McCollum, Kottkamp and Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson on an interior page.
