Republican congressional candidate state Rep. David Rivera, R-Miami, signed the “No Climate Tax” pledge being sponsored by Americans for Prosperity. In the pledge, politicians promise not to raise or create new taxes to fight climate change.

“When House Democrats approved the cap-and-trade bill, they effectively passed a tax on every American,” said Rivera. “My Democratic opponents support this tax-raising, job-killing plan pushed by the Obama-Pelosi administration. Our nation is undergoing one of the worst recessions in American history. We deserve better than a job-killing national energy tax.”
