David Thomas Named to UF Board of Trustees
David Thomas, the retired CEO and chairman of IMS Health Inc., was named by the Florida Board of Governors to the University of Florida board of trustees.
“We are fortunate to have boards of trustees across the state made up of well-qualified and dedicated individuals, with broad ranges of experience and expertise,” Mori Hosseini, chair of the Board of Governors' trustee nominating committee, stated in a release.
“We are proud to welcome David Thomas to their ranks. His contributions to the University of Florida will no doubt make the whole system stronger.”
A graduate of UF, Thomas is also the former senior vice president and group executive of IBM, where he worked for nearly three decades.
The appointment requires Florida Senate confirmation.
