Feuding Tea Parties Blow Up Florida's Political Landscape
While the Tea Party movement is energizing Republican candidates around the nation, Florida is proving to be a different story.
An intramural squabble between the Florida TEA Party and GOP-backed Tea organizations is splitting conservatives, confounding voters and, potentially, working to Democrats' advantage. The bickering has resulted in lawsuits, calls for resignations and charges of "black ops" on the campaign trail.
Watch for Sunshine State News' upcoming story on this tempest embroiling Florida's Tea Parties.

I'm afraid the strategy of the Florida Tea Party political party is already working on you. This isn't an "intramural squabble." The Tea Party movement has been making great strides in Florida and across America. Seeing this popularity, a Democratic strategist and attorney decided to subvert the efforts of the Tea Party movement, dilute it's effectiveness with conservatives, and hijack the name "Tea Party" in order to create confusion and steal away our popularity and message. And the unstated objective is presumed to be creating enough dilution and confusion to take away votes from conservatives running under the Republican party to allow Democrats (specifically Alan Grayson) to gain an undeserved victory.
Fred O'Neal (chairman and founder... and presumably ever other office in the Florida Tea Party political party) made it clear in an interview last week that having his Tea Party political party candidates (20+ of them) win was secondary to making sure that Republicans did not win.

Mickey is a little confused himself. Fred O'Neal is a hero to the taxpayers of Florida, fighting along side Doug Guetzloe with the legendary AxTaxes of Ax the Tax. O'Neal has never been a "democratic" strategist and was a member of the Orange County GOP Exec. Committee.
No one can "hijack" or "steal" what they don't own and none of the little tea party groups own the name. To accuse another group of stealing it and then saying that only they can use it is pretty sandbox politics.
I think it's great to finally have an official tea party organization-one that actually supports and fields conservatives. If the GOP lose their elections whose fault is that? There own fault for being tax and spend liberals in Tallahassee.
The GOP is the most corrupt political group since Tammany Hall. RPOF makes the Chicago political mob look like school girls.
I've voting TEA across the board where I can.
Probably leave non-tea candidate races blank - just like the look on Jim Greer's face when he got arrested.
Go TEA!
