Florida Cabinet Heads to the Florida State Fair

Gov. Rick Scott and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam will flip the switch to officially open the Florida State Fair in Tampa on Thursday before the Cabinet meeting in Tampa.

Expect photos to appear of Cabinet members to go down the giant slide -- Scott has avoided the ride in the past.

Scotts scheduled, as released from the governor's office, for Thursday:

6:30 a.m.- 7 a.m. Gov. Rick Scott will Flip the Switch officially opening the Florida State Fair (Family Friendly Midway)
7 a.m.- 8 a.m. Gov. Scott will make remarks at the Fresh From Florida Breakfast (Agriculture Hall of Fame).

8:30 a.m.- 8:45 a.m. Gov. Scott will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Florida Cattlemans Exhibit (Florida Forest Discovery Center).

9 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. Gov. Scott will hold Cabinet meeting (Entertainment Hall).

10:45 a.m.- 11:45 a.m. Gov. Scott will award winners of the Showmanship Competition (Charlie Lykes Arena).

12:45 p.m. Gov. Scott will unveil the new Visit Florida television ad at the Governors Day Luncheon (Charles M. Davis Special Events Center).
