Florida Chamber of Commerce Names Ellyn Bogdanoff MVP in the Legislature
On Tuesday, the Florida Chamber of Commerce named Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, as their most valuable legislator for the 2011 session. The Florida Chamber pointed to the freshman senators record on a number of issues, including reducing the corporate income tax and fighting for insurance and legal reform.
Senator Bogdanoff has been a champion for pro-business legislation since she was elected to the House of Representatives in 2004, said Jon Ferrando of AutoNation who serves on the Florida Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She helped pass much of the Florida Chambers agenda for jobs during her first year in the Senate.
I am honored to be recognized by the Florida Chamber for my efforts this session, said Bogdanoff. As a small-business owner and chair of the Finance and Tax Committee of the Florida Senate, I believe it is critical that we continue to do what we can statutorily to foster a business climate that will have a positive impact on our economy and private-sector job growth.
