Florida Libertarian Chairman Tabbed as Lieutenant Governor Candidate

Florida Libertarian Party gubernatorial candidate John Wayne Smith has named J.J. McCurry as his choice for lieutenant governor.

McCurry, of Winter Park, is chairman of the state party, the third largest political party in Florida, with a reported 18,000 members.

Looks like they're at each other's throats. McCurry has resigned in disgrace and the main focus seems to be the money.

Apparently the State Department of Elections realized something was up and booted them off the ballot if the news is correct.

Libertarians were organizing against these guys who actually wanted to raise taxes and had dicey backgrounds according to the detractors. See: http://upcoming.yahoo.com/group/16211/

Many Libertarians say don't vote for them as they're GOP plants and wrecking the party...
