Florida Nurses Association Endorses Matt Hudson for Florida Senate
The Florida Nurses Association is throwing its weight behind Rep. Matt Hudson, R-Naples, in his bid for Senate District 28 on Monday.
“I write to let you know that FNPAC, the political action committee of the Florida Nurses Association has voted to endorse your candidacy to the Florida Senate, District 28,” said Bonnie Sklaren, MSN, ARNP, chair of FNPAC, in their endorsement letter to Hudson. “We ask that you continue to be open to hearing the ideas and potential solutions put forward by others who share our hopes and dreams for a better future for our children.”
Hudson, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2007, will be running for SD28 which includes Collier and Hendry Counties as well as part of Lee County. He will face off against Rep. Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples.
Hudson served as Speaker Pro Tempore from 2014-2016.
“A sincere thank you to the FNPAC for endorsing me as the best choice for Florida Senate District 28,” said Hudson. “Our nurses are an invaluable part of our community and the entire State of Florida, working for the betterment and health of all Floridians. Throughout my service in the Florida House, I was proud to be an advocate on behalf of our nurses, which I’m committed to continuing if elected to serve in the Senate.”
