Florida Poly U Backers Launch Campus Update Blog
Backers of the state’s newest university, Florida Polytechnic University, have launched a blog -- http://blog.floridapolyvision.com/ -- to give updates on the creation of the Lakeland campus.
“A lot has been accomplished so far for Florida Polytechnic to begin its journey to become a high-standard, innovative institution for future STEM graduates,” Vic Story, co-chair for Florida Poly Vision, stated in a release.
“There is still much to do and much to stay on top of and through this innovative tool, we will keep fellow Poly supporters informed of any developments as the university’s official administration is put in place and they set out to bring star instructors and students to take Polytechnic forward.”
Florida Poly Vision is a group of business and civic leaders from Polk County that have supported the legislative effort earlier this year that separated the campus from the University of South Florida.

Yes, we see plenty of land development interests on the backers' list, including Senator JD Alexander's wife Cindy, John Alexander (his father), and Sarah Alexander (his mother).
Wonder what their interests in this effort are?
It must be purely educational, after all the university political budget blackmailing and other university budget cutting carried out by their husband and son to get this unnecessary university located near their family's land, along with its own personal tollroad and a special sector planning law that allows them to dictate what population demands and water demands water management districts must plan for, regardless of how ridiculously high or inappropriate.
