At FSU: Ask a Loaded Question, Get an Unexpected Answer

I'm sure the audience for a comment about this week's FSU elections would be pretty small statewide, but there was an item that should be of interest.

On the ballot was a question clearly designed to get the answer its writers wanted. Check it out:

We, the students of Florida State University, recognize that, because of the millions of dollars that Chick-Fil-A has invested in supporting groups with anti-homosexual agendas, their presence on campus violates the spirit of the university's nondiscrimination policy, and that student money should not support these kinds of practices. Do you agree?

The result?

A no vote by 66.4 percent.

So, there are three possibilities here:

1. FSU students are more conservative than the question writers anticipated.
2. The students voting didn't appreciate having their intelligence insulted.
3. They REALLY like their Chick-Fil-A at FSU.

4. Get a life.

Good for the 66.4 percent. I think the real question is what wussy thought of that question in the first place? Further example of the wussification of America.
