Hours After Using Rick Astley in his Battle with Rick Scott, Bill McCollum Turns to Keanu Reeves

The campaign team of Attorney General Bill McCollum unleashed a new line of attack on Republican gubernatorial primary rival Rick Scott on Tuesday -- by bringing out pop culture references.

Earlier on Tuesday, McCollum attacked Scott’s record at HCA/Columbia by referring to an internet meme involving '80s pop star Rick Astley. Later on Tuesday, the McCollum campaign released its take on Scott’s recently concluded bus tour across the state with a web video which included clips from the action film “Speed” with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. The bus video, which was linked in an e-mail sent out by the McCollum campaign, can be found at this site.

The Scott campaign simply forwarded a story from Politico about McCollum’s internal polls revealing how bad a shape the attorney general is in.
