John Browning and Jim Sebesta Named to Transportation Commission

On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott named two familiar faces to the Florida Transportation Commission -- John Browning and former Sen. Jim Sebesta.

Both Browning and Sebesta are familiar with transportation issues. Browning, the president of Browning Packing and Browning Consulting, served on the Florida Transportation Commission from 1987 until 2001. He will be on the Commission until the end of September 2015.

Sebesta, a veteran of both the House and the Senate, focused on transportation issues during his time in the Legislature. He even rose to some national prominence on the issue, including two years as the vice chairman of the Energy and Transportation Committee set up by the National Conference of State Legislatures. He will also serve at his new post until the end of September 2015.
