Kendrick Meek Will End Senate Campaign With Marathon Swing
Break out the classic “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley and the Comets
U.S Rep. Kendrick Meek, the Democratic candidate in the U.S. Senate race, announced he will have a marathon campaign blitz, campaigning throughout the night Sunday and into Monday morning.
"It's time to sprint to the finish," said Meek who is in third place in the polls, far behind Republican Marco Rubio and NPA Gov. Charlie Crist. "This final push will show Floridians, once again, that in both actions and words there is only one candidate who will stand up and fight for them. There's just one candidate who will fight for those who punch in and punch out every day. There's only one candidate who will stand up for Florida's middle class. And there's only one candidate who will stand up to corporate special interests on behalf of everyday Floridians. It's time to take a stand and vote for someone who will stand up for the middle class."
Of course, Bob Dole had a marathon election sprint towards the end of his presidential campaign in 1996. It didn’t help him against Bill Clinton.
