Kevin McCarty to Address Congress on Insurance Regulations and Jobs


Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty will testify Thursday afternoon before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Insurance, Housing and Community Opportunity.

The topic, according to a release from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, is to be the “U.S. Insurance Sector: International Competitiveness and Jobs.”

McCarty will be speaking on behalf of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

The subcommittee, meeting in the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2128, is examining international issues affecting the ability of U.S.-domiciled insurance and reinsurance companies to compete globally and create jobs.
