Former House Speaker Marco Rubio, the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican nomination in the U.S. Senate race, released the third of his series of videos focusing on reducing the size and cost of the federal government on Thursday. In the latest video, Rubio focused on Congress sunsetting programs.

“These programs are created by Congress, they’re funded and then they’re funded forever,” said Rubio.  “No one does a check to see: Are these programs still doing what they were meant to do? Are they still necessary? Are they still justified? Have they grown too large? No one does that anymore.”
