Newt Gingrich Backs Bill McCollum for Governor

Attorney General Bill McCollum‘s gubernatorial bid got the backing of his old boss on Monday when former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich announced his endorsement of McCollum over Rick Scott for the Republican nomination. Gingrich and McCollum served in the U.S. House together for almost two decades.

“I am pleased to have Speaker Gingrich’s support in my campaign for the Republican nomination for governor,” said McCollum. “I was proud to join Speaker Gingrich in passing his Contract for America and I look forward to building on our success in reforming government when I am elected governor.”

“At a time when the size and scope of government is increasing at an alarming rate, our nation is looking for leaders who will fight for the principles of limited government, fiscal restraint, and economic and personal freedom,” said Gingrich. “Floridians have such a leader in Bill McCollum. Bill is a longtime friend, a tireless public servant, a lifelong conservative, and he will make a great governor.  His plan to create 500,000 jobs and revive Florida’s economy is exactly what Florida needs.”

Newt Gingrich Endorsement is a complete turn OFF NEWT GINGRICH IS A PURE RINO .Remember who newt Gingrich endorsed in NY 23. The same woman Dropped out and endorsed the democrat. Newt Talks the conservative talk then in the background he pushes for Liberal Republicans. Don’t trust Newt Gingrich.

Me and My friends and Family were all for McCollum till he said he is against the AZ immigration LAW ! This is a typical do nothing politician passing blame to the Fed government while refusing to do anything at the state level to enforce are laws ! Its people Like McCollum Charlie Crist and the Democrats that we have an illegal immigration problem in the first place ! We need real Conservative change in the republican party of Florida and that looks like Rick Scott is are man ! He never held public office ! So he has never been influenced by any of the good old boys that run Washington and the political party’s. This is why There are massive attacks against him he is defeating the political establishment in the third most populated state ! Bill McCollum would not even acknowledge immigration before Rick Scott Came around
