Is Obama Hoping a Python will Swallow Up His Economic Failures?
You know that old adage: when the economy is in the tank, tour the Everglades? Well, no, we don't either, but the lefties sure do -- I can still picture a tanned and smiling Gov. Charlie Crist with the beautiful sawgrass swaying in the breeze behind him.
With new poll numbers showing perceptions of the economy in the toilet, here comes the president tossing out the Everglades card for the second time in two weeks, sending Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar for a 'Glades photo op.
Salazar said Everglades restoration is the "highest priority" for the president, according to The Palm Beach Post, who reported Salazar questions the state's commitment to a recently announced $880 million Everglades settlement. “There has to be a continuous commitment by Florida.” Salazar said.
A continuous commitment? Are you guys joshing me?
Is this the same administration, the same feds, who are something like $2 BILLION behind the state in funding River of Grass efforts? What an example of how arrogant these people are, how clueless about dollars and cents. Sheesh!

Hopefully Florida's Governor whomever they are now or in the future will always adhere to their oath of office and courageously protect and defend Florida's as well as it's citizen's Sovereignty and rights guaranteed by the Constitution from Federal strings attached to Federal dollars offered that intentionally remove Sovereignty as well as violate the US and Florida's Constitution.
I urge others to respond here or to Governor Scott directly that the above topics are much more important than signing any agreement with the Feds that would weaken them.
Both candidates and their subordinates will come to Florida as Obama and Salazar do this week for one purpose Buy Votes by promising bones to suckers and real money to those who already have a pile of it. No disrespect intended to those with a pile of money - I only mention it as contrast to the bones that work to fool the suckers (special interests with limited funds to influence elected officials with)into supporting projects that bury Americans deeper in debt.
Swamp Land was sold to suckers many years ago (many laugh about it) and now the State Sovereignty robbing Everglades Restoration is being sold as the cure for water quality and quantity problems. Guess what folks we are drinking the local water currently and nobody is complaining turning green. It is doubtful that today's children and tomorrows grandchildren will be joking when they figure out that today's officials both elected and bureaucratic pulled off this scam that turned them into Indentured Servant Americans responsible for paying off the Everglades debt and all the other debts of a BankCorrupt Federal government.
As the Indentured Servant Americans of today and the foreseeable future generations scramble to pay the debt - they will have even less time to do something about it then currently.
So real conservatives better start demanding candidates to leave the pork and bacon alone when they hit DC.
Wake Up Americans - including Tea Partiers and Occupy folks.

Yes, VOLUNTARY conservation easement programs always constitute a "taking" in violation of the Constitution.
See, it's this simple, if you're the land owner and you don't want to sell your property's development rights, you don't have to - you just say "NO".
Guess you just don't like private property owners being able to make money off their own land by saying "YES" to a conservation easement, but instead you want to dictate to them what you want them to do with their land, right?
PATHETIC! (and also un-American).

Can't you get your partisan spin straight - first you don't want federal dollars, now you got to have them.
Someone would think there's a campaign on, and you're just trying to spin it anyway you can.
Oh, that's right, there is, so now you're using that as an excuse in making the non-partisan Everglades, a partisan issue.
SERIOUSLY, is that all you do? If so, it's not very successful.
