Rasmussen: Most Voters Say the Feds Encourage Illegal Immigration
This may or may not come as a surprise to you. It certainly did me:
Most voters continue to believe the federal government encourages rather than discourages illegal immigration.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 58 percent of likely U.S. voters think the policies and practices of the federal government encourage illegal immigration. Only 24 percent disagree, and 18 percent more are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The national survey of "1,000 likely voters" was conducted on June 25-26 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
