Rasmussen: Most Voters See Little Long-Term Impact from Gulf Oil Spill

Two years after the oil spill in the Gulf, a poll released on Wednesday finds that most likely voters think it will have little in the way of long-term consequences to the environment.

The poll from Rasmussen Reports finds that a majority do not think there will be major long-term consequences from the spill. The poll shows that 8 percent believe there will be no lasting impact while 15 percent think there will be minor effects and 33 percent think there will be modest impacts to the environment. While 29 percent think the spill will have a major impact in the years to come, 10 percent think it will prove devastating to the environment.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters was taken from April 30-May 1 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

Nice spin title - the actual data shows only 23% believe there will be minor (i.e. little) or no impacts.

Clearly, 72% of those polled (the other 5% likely had no opinion) indicated a modest (i.e. moderate) to devasting impact.

Way to try and spin the inconvenient results, again.
