House Republicans announced on Tuesday that one of their own -- Rep. Matt Hudson of Naples -- had been named to the executive committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL). Hudson is one of only 60 state legislators across the country to be so honored. The organization serves as a conduit for state legislators to exchange information and represents all 50 state Legislatures to the federal government. 

"I am honored to have been elected to such a prestigious position on the NCSL,” said Hudson. “With so much profound change taking place in the way our federal system works and interacts with state government, it is important to have Florida at the table as we join other states in addressing issues and policies resulting from an enlarged federal government role. I am looking forward to representing Florida on the executive committee of the NCSL during these challenging times.”
