Rick Scott Attacks Obama Health-Care Plan on its Anniversary

Gov. Rick Scott, who rose to political prominence by opposing President Barack Obama’s federal health-care program, weighed in on the one-year anniversary of it being signed into law.

“One year later, I remain convinced that Obamacare is bad for patients, businesses and taxpayers,” said Scott. “This ill-conceived policy will force Florida to spend an additional $12.8 billion on Medicaid and add an additional 2.1 million Floridians to Medicaid. Eliminating patient choice, rationing care and implementing the largest tax hikes in American history are just the beginning of the federal mandate’s consequences. I commend Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi and the other elected officials throughout the country who are standing up to Obamacare. This law has already been ruled unconstitutional in Florida. Now, we need an expedited appellate process to finish the case against Obamacare, and we need the federal government to immediately repeal the taxes enacted to pay for its implementation.”

"Choice" is not the first word to come to mind with Floridians that have worked the majority of life, have catastrophic illness, and apply for Medicaid. The state of Florida statute 409.9121 Legislative findings and intent ..."Therefore, the Legislature declares its intent that the Medicaid program require, to the maximum extent practicable and permitted by federal law, that all Medicaid recipients be enrolled in a managed care program." INVOLUNTARY SERVITUDE IS WELL IN FLORIDA BECAUSE OF STATE'S NULLIFICATION TO FOLLOW FEDERAL LAW WHEN IT RECIEVES FEDERAL FUNDS! REGARDLESS FED'S UGLY HEAD WILL BE RAISED AND FLORIDA WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY IF IT ACCEPTS ONE "RED CENT".
