Rick Scott Begins Mission in Spain with Country Briefing


Gov. Rick Scott began his Monday at 12:30 p.m. Central European Summertime in Spain -- there is a six-hour time difference with EDT -- with a country briefing by the U.S. Embassy at the Westin Palace Madrid Hotel in Madrid.

Scott is heading a business development mission to Spain this week with Enterprise Florida. The 60-strong delegation left for Spain Sunday night.

Other items on Monday’s schedule according to the governor’s office:

1:45 p.m. CEST -- Meeting with President Esperanza Aguirre, at the Comunidad de Madrid Palace.

2 p.m. CEST -- Welcome lunch with the city of Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid Palace.

5:30 p.m. CEST -- Meeting with U.S.-Spain Council.

7 p.m. CEST -- Round table with Spain-Florida Foundation 500.
