The campaign team of Rick Scott, currently in a bitter battle with Attorney General Bill McCollum for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, used the opportunity of President Barack Obama visiting Miami Beach on Wednesday night to fire away at state CFO Alex Sink, the likely Democratic nominee in the race.

“This is rich," said Jennifer Baker, a spokeswoman for Scott. "Alex Sink snubbed Obama and his 40 percent approval rating among Floridians at the airport, but won’t skip out on the fund-raiser where Obama will help bail out her campaign.

“Given Obama’s abysmal approval rating in Florida, it’s no wonder Alex Sink will only appear in private to accept his campaign cash," continued Baker. "But the fact is that she and Obama have more in common than she wants Floridians to know. They both support the liberal agenda of more spending, more bailouts, and higher taxes.”
