Rick Scott Co-Hosting on Monday on CNBC's Squawk Box

Identified by the Cato Institute and the Wall Street Journal last week as one of the top governors in the country for his tax reform policies and fiscal stewardship, Florida Gov. Rick Scott apparently caught the attention of the national media.

Gov. Rick Scott will be in New York on Monday meeting with members of the media.

Scott will reprise his role as co-host on CNBC’s Squawk Box at 7 a.m., where he is expected to spend an hour.

In the afternoon, Scott’s scheduled to meet with CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien at the Time Warner Center and later with Paul Gigot, editorial page editor at the Wall Street Journal and host of The Journal Editorial Report on Fox News Channel. The meeting with Gigot is planned for the Wall Street Journal building.

"Your governor is a hot commodity in a swing state in the middle of a very close election," Donna Leskowitz of CNN told Sunshine State News on Sunday.
