Rick Scott is Off to School in Jacksonville, Orlando on Monday


Gov. Rick Scott will be touring schools in Jacksonville, Orlando and Palm Harbor on Monday, observing students in some of the STEM -- science, technology, engineering, math -- fields and preparing for a school play.

Scott is scheduled to be at Darnell-Cookman Middle/High School for the Medical Arts in Jacksonville at 8:45 a.m.

By 11:30 a.m., Scott is scheduled to be at Evans High School in Orlando for a visit that is to include meeting with students studying in the school’s Academy of Information Technology.

In the afternoon, Scott is expected to stop at John L. Carwise Middle School in Palm Harbor. According to the schedule from the governor’s office, he will observe students preparing for a production of the musical "Bye Bye Birdie."
