RNC Accuses Obama of Wanting a Mulligan on the Economy

With President Barack Obama heading to Ohio on Thursday as he starts his efforts to convince voters that he needs more time to turn the economy around, the Republican National Committee (RNC) is going all out to attack him for wanting a mulligan.

The RNC took aim at Obama in a video unveiled on Thursday -- and, just in time for the U.S. Open which also starts on Thursday, the ad does not shrink from making golf references.

"President Obama couldn't live up to the standards he set for himself, so he's trying to take a mulligan, saying all he needs is 'more time,'" said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus in a statement on Thursday. "But we've already had close to four years of big-government liberalism resulting in bloated stimulus spending, Obamacare and out-of-control regulation that is stifling job creators at every turn.

Priebus then continued with the golf analogies as he ripped into Obama. "He keeps hooking left, and it isn't working for the American economy,” Priebus said. “We've seen this game before and Americans can't afford to give President Obama another shot."
