The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) launched an ad on Wednesday attacking Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running without party affiliation in the U.S. Senate race. The ad shows clips of a new ad from Crist and contrasts it with his comments from the past.

“Charlie Crist would like to fool Floridians into believing he is a born-again independent leader,” said RPOF executive director Ronnie Whitaker. “But the reality is that nothing in Charlie Crist’s record suggests he can be trusted to go to the United States Senate and provide an alternative to Washington’s broken politics. Instead, Charlie Crist’s record of saying and doing anything represents the worst aspects of Washington politics.”
