RPOF Slams Washington, Charlie Crist for 'Manipulation'
The Republican Party of Florida has wasted no time in attacking former governor Charlie Crist over his stance on Obamacare since he declared he'd be running for his old job. On Tuesday, the RPOF criticized both Washington and Crist for using "craven political tactics" to pass and implement the Affordable Care Act.
"From day one, Charlie Crist's Washington buddies have used craven political tactics to pass and implement Obamacare, while manipulating the process to benefit Democrats running for election," said RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry. "Charlie Crist has embraced a policy that hurts Floridians, particularly the 300,000 who will lose their insurance, while brushing off the terrible rollout and extended deadlines. Florida can't trust Charlie Crist or his Washington buddies."
Tuesday's email blast is one of many linking Crist to Obamacare, which has received considerable criticism after a rocky rollout of the ACA's health care website, Healthcare.gov. In November, approval of the health care plan plummeted, with only 40 percent approving of the plan, while more than half -- 55 percent -- of voters said they disapproved of the ACA.
