Scott: Florida Needs to be 'Shipping Capital' of America's East Coast

Highlighting the need to expand Florida’s port system, Gov. Rick Scott said Florida should be the “shipping capital of the East Coast," at the opening of the Florida Chamber of Commerce’s International Days, Tuesday.

The two-day event being held at Florida State University’s Conference Center in Tallahassee will feature speeches on Wednesday by Gabriel Silva, Colombia's ambassador to the United States, and Alberto Aleman Zubieta, administrator of the Panama Canal Authority.

Do we have the rail infrastructure for that? Because I can't see how it'll be good for us to add a lot of truck traffic to our already full roads.
