Sheriffs Association Honors Rick Scott
Gov. Rick Scott was awarded the Florida Sheriffs Association Legislative Champion Award during the associations winter conference.
The Florida Sheriffs Association is honored to recognize Governor Rick Scott for his common-sense approach to public safety and for his efforts to get to work with Floridas sheriffs to reduce crime, maintain a 41-year-low crime rate, and to protect the citizens of Florida, FSA President and Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton stated in a release. The staff of FSA applauds this governor for his open door and his support of our most critical issues.
This is the first time a governor has received this award.
The health and safety of Florida communities as my top priority as governor, and well continue to work in close partnership with the Florida Sheriffs Association to make sure were doing everything possible to keep Florida families safe, Scott stated in a release.
