Ted Yoho, Jake Rush Weigh in on Taliban Prisoner Exchange

From his perch on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, U.S. Rep.Ted Yoho, R-Fla., said he opposed the deal to release five members of the Taliban in exchange  for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

"It's the policy of the United States of America,” Yoho told WOKV in Jacksonville on Tuesday. “We don't negotiate with terrorists."

"Our enemies don't fear or respect us and I think respect is the most important part here," Yoho added.

Gainesville attorney Jake Rush, Yoho’s Republican primary opponent who won national attention when his vampire role-playing hobby was brought to light, also weighed in on the situation on Tuesday.

“The American public deserves answers to the unusual circumstances surrounding this even more unusual release of terrorists by President Obama," Rush said. "It is my hope that Congress takes immediate steps to protect its rights granted by the U.S. Constitution. We must shine light on this murky transaction.

"This issue illuminates the need for steady and consistent leadership, the rule of law and the balance of powers," Rush added.

For that reason alone why would that many people comment anyway. Why do you want to stab yourself in the butt like that?
