Ted Yoho Takes Gilchrist Tea Party Straw Ballot
Tea party members in Gilchrist County backed Ted Yoho, a large-animal doctor from Gainesville, in a straw ballot among party members in the congressional GOP primary for the new District 3 seat held by incumbent U.S. Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Ocala.
Yoho, who has also received the support of the O’Brien Tea Party, picked up 69 percent of the votes in the Gilchrist polling.
Florida Sen. Steven Oelrich garnered 13 percent of the vote, Stearns received 10 percent and Clay County Clerk of Court James Jett landed at 1 percent. Another 7 percent of the local Tea Party members declared they had yet to decide.
The number of votes cast was not released.
The district includes: Alachua, Gilchrist, Levy, Dixie, Lafayette, Suwannee, Columbia, Bradford, Union, Hamilton and Clay counties, along with the eastern portion of Madison County and the north-western portion of Marion County.

America needs Ted Yoho and as many more like him that we can convince to join the fight against big government. The primary election Aug 14 against incumbent Cliff Stearns is where you decide if you want the "same old, same old" or Ted Yoho!

I have met with Ted and his beautiful family through a wonderful friend who has had the privilege to work with Ted for many years as a veterinarian. His is a man of integrity and a true Patriot. He loves this country and the principals that made us so great. He has seen the government get further away from those principals and has a calling to help get in there and help restore a lot of damage before it is to late. I completely support his election and urge all other Patriots to do the same. We need change in the right direction... He is our Guy!!!

Congratulations to Ted and his staff and his supporters for all of the hard work. Let's hope this win is a harbinger for future ballots throughout the district. Ted is the man we need in Washington.

TED is a logical choice. Integrity, competence and determination is what we need representing us in Washington. TED YOHO represents those three characteristics.

It doesn`t suprise that Dr. Yoho is doing so well in these polls. He will continue to accell ahead of the others. The people are tired of the same old politics.We need to send fresh faces and ideas to Washington and TED YOHO is the only one that fits this bill. LET`S CLEAN THE SLATE IN WASHINGTON!!!

Just to let people know the information correctly, Dr. Ted Yoho, retired veterinarian medicine in January 2011. He did this to put all his efforts into this campaign. He has had enough with politics as usual and has been in the trenches as a small businessman. He won 69% of the straw poll in Gilchrist County, and has a extremely large following due to his awareness of the issues at hand. I believe this is the man for the job, honest, hard working and will bring common sense back to Congress.

Mr. Yoho was a great veterinarian and will be a great congressman. I personally couldn't do what he's doing. Makes me respect him even more. Just wanted to say thank you Ted and vote Mr. Yoho!

I met Ted in October and I've been a supporter ever since I spoke to him! What a wonderful man. This is so great to see and I hope the other counties follow this. We really need an honest businessman up in congress. What really made me believe in Ted was the fact that he has so many supporters that were his past clients and they have so much respect for the man. It shows that he truly is a good guy and sticks to his word. That's the type of man we need in Washington, not a career politician. GO YOHO!

Dr. Yoho is who we need in Washington. I've personally known him for at least 25 years and he has been in the trenches working with us and feeling the effects of the garbage legislation and mandates, not entrenched in Washington. He has the common sense and business savvy to help this country get back on track, as well as a passion to do what's right for the country as opposed to his own political agenda. He's in it for the cause - not the job.

I hope Gilchrist reflects the rest of the district. All the guys running in that race except Dr. Ted are nothing but corrupt, career politicians. He was the best vet in the area and now he will be the best Congressman!
