Third Poll has Marco Rubio Ahead of Charlie Crist by Double Digits

Sunshine State News ran a poll on the U.S. Senate race last week that had Republican candidate Marco Rubio leading both opponents -- Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running without party affiliation, and Democratic nominee Kendrick Meek -- by double digits.

There now have been two other polls that show the same thing -- one from Fox News, and on Wednesday Reuters unveiled its newest poll. The Reuters/Ispos poll of 600 Floridians, including 486 likely voters, has Rubio with 40 percent, Crist with 26 and Meek with 21 percent -- with a margin of error of +/- 4 percent among all voters and +/- 4.6 percent among the likely voters.

That’s three polls showing Rubio with a double-digit lead. Is Crist starting to fade?

The Reuters poll also showed that Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott and Democratic nominee Alex Sink are in a close battle -- with Scott taking 47 percent and Sink at 45 percent.
