Tropical Wave to Bring Rain, Possible Flooding to Florida
Break out the umbrellas -- a tropical wave is bringing rain to the Sunshine State this week.
A tropical wave moving through the Bahamas will come to Florida Tuesday, spreading rain and possible flooding throughout Florida this week.
Floridians can expect travel delays and flash flooding in the heavier downpours of the storm, with 2-3 inches of rain expected in short periods of time.
September is the peak time for hurricanes and is generally the most active month of the season. Earlier this month, Hurricane Hermine caused extensive damage in parts of the Big Bend area of Florida.
Thunderstorms and rain can be expected through Wednesday.
