Washington Chatter Builds for Jeb Bush as VP

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham is voicing his choice for GOP vice presidential candidate loud and clear.

It's Jeb Bush.

The former Florida governor is the choice most likely to put Mitt Romney over the top in November, Graham told The Hill newspaper on Sunday.

“He’d be an outstanding pick. It’s up to Governor Romney, but if I had to recommend a single person, it would be Jeb,” Graham told The Hill.

Chatter is picking up on Capitol Hill that Bush could be a dark horse, according to The Hill, even though the current favorites seem to be Florida's Marco Rubio and Ohio's Rob Portman.

Senior political strategists like Bush for his ability not just to deliver Florida, but to help Romney corral Hispanic and Catholic voters.

Trouble is, Bush so far has been less than enthusiastic. Jaryn Emhof, his spokeswoman, said, “While the support is flattering, his decision has not changed. Governor Bush will not be a candidate for VP.”

Lindsey Graham wanting him as VP is EXACTLY why he needs to stay as far away as possible from the position. This is very telling.
