Webster Unifies GOP with Endorsements from His CD 8 Rivals
The Republican bid to retake Central Florida's 8th Congressional District took a step forward this week when GOP nominee Daniel Webster landed endorsements from his six primary election rivals.
All six candidates -- Kurt Kelly, Todd Long, Patricia Sullivan, Bruce O'Donoghue, Dan Fanelli and Ross Bieling -- praised Webster and urged voters to oust first-term Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando.
Webster, a former state senator, already boasts a lengthy list of supporters, including former Gov. Jeb Bush, 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and former Sen. Connie Mack.
With the GOP field united behind him, Webster hopes to hold Republican voters who might opt for Florida TEA Party candidate Peg Dunmire in the general election.
Sullivan, a local tea activist, alluded to that prospect, saying, "The Tea Party movement has fought for fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets. I know Senator Webster will also fight for these values and he has my full support."

I think it is a good thing when all of those fine folks who ran in the Rep. Primary is standing with Webster. Greyson does not reflect the views of the average voter. This really shows that every see's the greater good and is not resorting to name calling. As a exile Floridian I want to return home some day to my home in Central Florida! Thank you all who ran and put yourselves out there to be counted.

I was a member of Patricia's Patriot Army, and now am supporting Webster. I have a hard time believing anyone can go from Patricia to Dunmire. I know Grayson is running scared, because he started lying about Webster already. Lets wash this dandruff out of our hair!

I, too, endorse Webster. Though I am not in District 8, I worked very hard to support Patricia Sullivan, the only candidate directly from the "Tea Party".
First off, Peg Dunmire is a Fraud. Nobody is fooled by "want you to die quickly" Grayson's dupe. I sat slack-jawed when she announced herself at Glenn Beck's American Revival. I recovered enough to shout "She ain't Tea Party"! That said, I offer my support to Webster. I am sure he will benefit from the wave of disgust that sweeps the dems from power come November. "Let's roll"!

I am a member of Patricia's "Patriot Army" also and I will be voting for Webster. I have read the comments and see in the beginning there were a couple that said they were standing behind Dunmire. These have not done their homework. Yes, there are things that I'm not completely happy about with Webster but there is now way I want Grayson to win. Grayson is underhanded and he has proven his ways these past 2 years. I don't trust him at all and he is an open socialist. With this in mind and with proof of his ties with the "Florida Tea Party" there is no way that we should be voting for Dunmire unless you are a lover of Grayson. He is using this party to split the conservative vote in order to keep his seat. A vote for Dunmire is a vote for Grayson. Vote Webster!

We are two more of Sullivan's Patriot Army. From the time Dunmire announced as a candidate, all of us knew she was just a puppet for Grayson. The Patriot Army will be working full steam ahead to see that Webster is elected.

NOBODY in this group believes that Dunmire is anything other than a shill being used by Grayson to split the conservative/independent vote in order to insure his re-election. And we believe anyone claiming to be a Sullivan supporter who now says they will vote for Dunmire is merely a Grayson supporter in disguise. Don't be fooled by this fake tea party candidate! This type of chicanery is Grayson's forte.

We need to unite behind a conservative candidate who can beat Alan Grayson. Period. Daniel Webster is that candidate, as chosen by the voters in the primary. I am in Patricia Sullivan's patriot army, but, like her, I will support a good candidate who will represent us well and stop the insane march to oblivion that Grayson and his liberal companions in Congress have us on.

As part of the Sullivan Patriot Army, I am in disbeleif that anyone would accept the premise that we would now turn to the fraudulent "Tea Party Party" It is a sham and has nothing whatsoever to do with the true Grassroots movement that has become the Tea Party Movement. We are all standing behind the GOP winner in this and most races. We are still looking for fiscal responsibility, limited government free market solutions and following the Constitution and we are expecting Webster to believe these also.

I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone who voted for Sullivan is now voting for Dunmire. These two comments seem to be nothing more than a Dunmire/Guetzloe underhanded attempt for votes. First of all our Patriot Army, which is now backing Webster 100% knows full well that Dunmire is nothing more than a puppet for Guetzloe and O'Neil and their their party with the hijacked name has nothing to do with the tea party movement or Sullivan who was the only true tea party candidate. In addition we also know that Alan Grayson is the financial backer of Dunmires party and she is simply being used to split the vote.

I voted for Sullivan and I'm voting for Dunmire against Grayson and Webster.
Webster supports Obama - stimulus - funded rail and that's all I need to hear.
Grayson and Webster are both pro-rail - Dunmire isn't. Dunmire will get the votes of every Sullivan voter I know.
I was thinking of writing in Sullivan but not if she's signing off on the establisment career politician Dan Webster. No way.

Since Webster has a toll road named for him that I have to travel every day from lake county; I wouldn't vote for him if he was the last one running. I'm part of the Sullivan Patriot Army and I'm voting for Dunmire. 30 years in office and the GOP credit card scandal are enough to defeat Dan.

Judging how you're going to vote based on whether a candidate has a street named after him is one of the most ignorant reasons I have ever heard.
