Unlike in his statement last week when he unloaded on the annual report highlighting budget items that TaxWatch says didn’t go through the normal budget process and are ripe for a veto, Senate President Don Gaetz strikes a conciliatory tone in reaction to Governor Scott’s signing of the budget and his vetoing of nearly $400 million in line-items.

St. Petersburg Did you happen to catch Brian Ballard’s quote about Dean Cannon’s lobbying haul?

Tucked into an Aaron Deslatte story about Dean Cannon’s firm’s impressive $755K haul in lobbying fees for the first quarter of 2013, is a fangs-bared quote from the uberest of uber lobbyists, Brian Ballard, that does not portend well for the possibility of a Ballard Partners vs. Capitol Insight charity softball match anytime soon.
