St. Petersburg Elections, manufacturing bills hit Gov. Scott’s desk

Gov. Rick Scott has until May 24 to make decisions on two high-profile bills passed in the closing days of the legislative session, reports the News Service of Florida.

Both a bill meant to avoid the snafus that plagued the November elections (HB 7013) and a measure exempting manufacturing equipment from the state sales tax (HB 7007) were presented to Scott on Thursday, giving him 15 days to decide whether to sign or veto the measures.

In a message posted on his Facebook page, Crist described as “great news” a decision by Delaware officials to become the 11th state to allow same-sex marriage.

Governor Scott has received the budget passed by the Legislature, reports Tia Mitchell of the Tampa Bay Times.

He has until May 24th to decide what, if anything, he will veto.
