Senate files Orlando-Orange X-Way takeover to kick-start Wekiva Parkway

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Senate has released a transportation budget-bill that would steer much of the control over the construction of the $1.66 billion Wekiva Parkway through the state, strip toll-collection from the local authority and mandate its revenues go toward building the long-stalled Metro Orlando beltway.
