A poll released by WMUR in New Hampshire shows former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney crushing the Republican presidential field in the Granite State, home of the first presidential primary.

As Kevin Derby reported for Sunshine State News, Al Cardenas, a former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, was named Wednesday to head up the American Conservative Union (ACU), succeeding conservative icon David Keene who led the group for more than 25 years.

All eyes will be on Washington this weekend when the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) meets and conducts its Republican presidential nomination straw poll.

While U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will not be speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) later in February, two of his fellow Sunshine State Republicans will be addressing the event.

While his name has generated a good deal of buzz, especially since the November elections, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said before Christmas he is more focused on running the Lone Star State and the Republican Governors Association rather than launching a bid for the Republican presidential nomination.
