Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with connections to national Democrats, released a new poll Tuesday that showed former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who moved to the Sunshine State last year, is the favorite to win the Iowa caucus if he decides to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

A poll released Tuesday from Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with ties to Democrats at the national level, reveals that Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson is ahead of most of his potential opponents, but remains vulnerable: He could not muster more than 50 percent against a pack of mostly unknown Republicans. 

Just like the 12th round of a close title fight when both boxers go for the knockout, Attorney General Bill McCollum and health-care executive Rick Scott, the leading candidates for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, are trying to land uppercuts and hooks before the bell, on this, the last day before the primary.

Public Policy Polling  (PPP) released a poll Tuesday showing that Gov. Charlie Crist, an independent candidate in the race for the U.S. Senate election, is the clear leader in the race.
