Free-market proponent though I am, I want the best for Florida. Internet cafes are not the best, and I'm frankly thrilled to see Sen. John Thrasher making good on his promise to get thuggy with these storefront sleazeries.

Billed as an off-gambling year in Florida politics, 2013 is anything but. Too much gambling-interest money is circulating, too much strategizing is going on.
Isn't it supposed to be the casinos, not Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, that attract the porn? That's not what happened in Orlando, just named by Men's Health Magazine as the Smuttiest City in America.

Throwing some cold water on casino fever, the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling says the state isn't addressing the addiction problems it has now.
